Our ‘cabin’ has 8 single bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large kitchen/lounge with wood burner. This accommodation is part of our working care farm, managed for biodiversity and learning. It is comfortable and sits amongst the trees, hedgerows, surrounded by idyllic countryside with spectacular views of the River Dart. This is a secure and tranquil place for relaxing between learning sessions. All meals are provided from local produce (direct from our farm where possible) with special dietary requirements catered for on request. We have a Yurt and an open plan office with internet access.

We like to follow the interests of individual learners when we can and therefore the exact content may vary. There are 5 main areas of learning, grouped under the headings; UK biodiversity in context, UK wildlife surveys and habitat and species monitoring, Applied conservation management, Research projects and community work, Education and widening participation. The learning pathways weave its way through these subject areas to deliver a quality unique and work focused experience.

We will study carefully all applications and selected candidates will be invited for a Skype interview. The selection of volunteers will take place in the upcoming weeks.

For the selection of the volunteers we will need:

– Europass CV with picture (made in the last month) with Skype username included.

– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Enjoy Sicily”. We ask all candidates to send a specific letter of motivation – why they want to volunteer with us rather than just a general EVS one. The volunteer is chosen according to his/her motivation and interest in the project and the activities. It will be paid special attention to cover letters.
